Master Tung Hu Ling (董虎岭)

Introduction
Master Tung Hu-Ling (also known as Dong Huling) was the son of Master Tung Ying-Kiai and played a crucial role in spreading the Tung Family Tai Chi teachings globally. He continued his father's legacy by establishing schools and teaching throughout Southeast Asia and the United States.
Teaching Philosophy
Master Tung Hu-Ling's philosophy emphasized that 'Tai Chi teachings must combine both tradition and adaptation to the world and to circumstances.' This balanced approach allowed the Tung Family style to maintain its authentic roots while adapting to different cultures and teaching environments around the world.
Global Teaching
Master Tung Hu-Ling taught extensively in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States. He established schools in Hawaii and California, bringing the Tung Family Tai Chi teachings to new continents and cultures. His dedication to teaching helped establish a strong foundation for the Tung Family style in these regions.
Teaching in Thailand
Master Tung Hu-Ling came to Thailand to teach Tai Chi Chuan for many years, following in his father's footsteps. He had many students in Thailand, and these disciples and their students have passed on the Tai Chi they learned to later generations of interested people. The Yang-style Tai Chi Chuan that has spread throughout almost every province of Thailand all originates from the students of Master Tung Ying-Kiai and Master Tung Hu-Ling.
Legacy
Master Tung Hu-Ling's contributions to the global spread of Tai Chi Chuan are immeasurable. Through his teaching in multiple countries and establishment of schools, he ensured that the Tung Family style would continue to thrive and evolve while maintaining its authentic traditions. His son, Master Tung Kai-Ying, has continued this legacy, teaching throughout the USA and Europe.
